Day 1:Bagan Full Day Sightseeing

Pick up from your hotel and start visit to

  • Nyaung Oo Colorful Market

  • Shwezigon Pagoda (the prototype of later Myanmar stupa)

  • Wetkyi-inn Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes and

  • Htilominlo Temple (built in AD 1218 the big square high temple).

  • Burmese lacquerware factory to see the process of making Lacquerware

  • Manuha Temple (gigantic Buddha images, a captive king’s impression of life in prison)

  • Ananda Temple (a brick monetary with 18th century mural paintings) and

  • Shwesandaw Pagoda for the beautiful sunset view.

Then back to your hotel and stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 2:Bagan – Salay – Mt. Popa – Bagan (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, start excursion to Salay and Mt. Popa (an extinct volcano) well known as the oasis of central Myanmar Legends by private coach. Begin with a drive south, parallel to the Irrawaddy River, en route to Salay. After one hour we’ll make a stop in Chauk which has a colorful morning market to explore. Few tourists visit this market and it is a great place for local interaction and photos. Then continue to Salay (30 minutes) an important center of Buddhism in Myanmar with many active monasteries and many years ago, created its own unique style of Bagan-era architecture. Burmese Buddhism and this unique architectural style as you visit several sites including Salay is Yoke Sone Kyaung monastery (one of the oldest wooden halls in the area). After that head east toward Mt. Popa and arriving at midday, we’ll first go to Popa Mountain Resort for lunch with fabulous views over the surrounding area. Mount Popa has played an important role in Myanmar culture, religion and history since earliest times. Its shrine is dedicated to the worship of the 37 Nats, the Burmese ancient animist spirits. In the evening drive back to Bagan and stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 3:Bagan Departure Day (B)

After breakfast at hotel, visit various Pagodas (Depends on time and interest) till transfer to your hotel or airport for your departure flight.
